Virginia eases COVID-related restrictions

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam today announced that as COVID-19 hospitalizations and infection rates continue to decline and vaccinations rise in Virginia, certain outdoor sports and entertainment venues may begin to operate at increased capacity starting Monday.

Northam’s amendments to Executive Order 72 will allow outdoor social gatherings to increase from 10 to 25 people, allow outdoor entertainment venues to operate with more people, permit on-site consumption and sale of alcohol until midnight, and allow overnight summer camps to open.
