University of Mary Washington students will begin returning to the Fredericksburg campus on Thursday and to limited in-person learning on Monday, Sept. 14 following a three-week delay of in-person classes.
In addition, two museums administered by UMW — Gari Melchers Home and Studio at 224 Washington Street in Falmouth and The James Monroe Museum at 908 Charles Street in Fredericksburg — will reopen to the public on Sept. 14 after a six-month shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
