UMW earns two leading college rankings

The University of Mary Washington has earned rankings in recent editions of Washington Monthly and The Princeton Review.

UMW earned a spot in the “Best 388 Colleges for 2023” published by The Princeton Review. UMW is included among the Best Southeastern colleges and previously earned recognition in The Princeton Review’s “Green Colleges” list.

For the first time, UMW was recognized by its peers as a top liberal arts college by Washington Monthly.  Schools are judged based on contributions to the greater good in categories of social mobility, research and public service. The University is a national leader among schools that share a reputation and commitment to academic excellence in undergraduate education.

Congratulations to UMW for placing 76th overall on Washington Monthly’s Liberal Arts Colleges list!

In addition to these rankings, UMW was named among the “best and most interesting” public and private four-year colleges and universities in the 2023 edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges.
