The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, in partnership with the University of Mary Washington University (UMW), invites businesses and non-profits to participate as exhibitors for the UMW Community Welcome Fair to be held on September 6 in the Chandler Ballroom from 12-1:30 p.m. The fair is an introduction to the many businesses and services UMW students will be using for the next four years. Think of this as an opportunity to personally present your business to more than 4,000 bright young adults. As they immerse themselves in their academic careers, they will also become part of our community, needing many of the goods and services available in the Fredericksburg area. In addition to becoming customers, many of these students could become responsible part-time employees, interns or volunteers. To learn more about event details and registration, please e-mail Amy Peregoy, Economic Development Specialist, at aperegoy@fredericksburgva.gov. We encourage you to contact Ms. Peregoy today, spaces are limited!
