Tree Fredericksburg seeking volunteers

Tree Fredericksburg is seeking volunteers to assist with tree planting this fall. The organization pre-drills the holes so there is not a lot of physical work, but volunteers do need to be able to get down on their knees and push some dirt around. Work starts at 9 a.m. and usually finishes by 11 a.m. Tree Fredericksburg supplies all of the equipment — including safety glasses, safety vests, gloves, shovels and pruners.

Tree Fredericksburg is looking for help on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Old Mill Park and Saturday, Nov. 2 at Sunken Road near Grove Street. To register to be a volunteer, go to Treefredericksburg.org and click on “Volunteer.” Come out and help restore the tree canopy in Fredericksburg!
