StartUpUMW connects local businesses with students

by | Sep 10, 2020 | Education, Germanna Community College, University of Mary Washington

UMW business student program logoStudents from the University of Mary Washington (UMW) and Germanna Community College can apply for the StartUpUMW program, which is online for the Fall 2020 semester.

An important piece of the college experience is extra-curricular activities and experiential learning. StartUpUMW provides an opportunity for students to learn how to start their own business from local business professionals and entrepreneurs. Students receive internship experience and get a “real-world” perspective on what it takes to launch and manage a company.
