Riverplace project under way in Fredericksburg

Preliminary work has begun on the Riverplace townhouse project in downtown Fredericksburg.

Arlington-based Tradition Homes is developing the Riverplace project at 506-512 Sophia St. behind Fredericksburg Square and across the street from Brock’s. Three older apartment buildings are being demolished to make way for the new townhouses.

Riverplace will feature 13 townhouses ranging from 2,150 to 3,325 square feet. They will feature two-car garages, elevators, rooftop decks with views of the nearby Rappahannock River and more. They are expected to be completed in 2020.
