Revamped First Fridays coming this fall

First Fridays in downtown Fredericksburg will look a little different this fall, and the organization spearheading it is looking for people to help.

Fredericksburg VA Main Street Inc. has been working with the City of Fredericksburg, the Arts Commission, RappArts and the Economic Development Authority to lay the groundwork for a “reimagined First Fridays” promotion starting in October. Due to a change in Virginia ABC laws, people will be able to walk around the event footprint in downtown Fredericksburg with adult beverages.

Main Street is seeking assistance from an individual who can help rebrand the event, including developing a logo, marketing materials, banners, flags, maps, posters and social media campaigns.

Main Street is also looking to hire a part-time First Fridays Coordinator to oversee the numerous logistics of the event – which will occur on the first Friday of every month starting in October.
