The City of Fredericksburg on November 7 conducted a public forum on the adaptive reuse of the Renwick Courthouse, old jail and Wallace Library in downtown Fredericksburg. More than 80 people attended, many of whom participated in a guided tour of the three buildings along Princess Anne Street prior to the forum.

Kennedy Smith of Community Land Use and Economics Group of Arlington presented findings of a study on the economic feasibility of three future uses of the buildings. These are: (1) offices; (2) a performance and event venue; and (3) a boutique hotel with a restaurant.
