New restaurant, store planned for Eagle Village

November 30, 2021 | Fredericksburg Business News |

Plans are in the works for a new restaurant and retail store in Fredericksburg’s Eagle Village shopping center.

Moment Diner has signed a lease to take over the 4,174-square-foot former Country Cookin building at the front of the center off U.S. 1 across from the University of Mary Washington. Moment Diner is the concept of an experienced operator in the restaurant industry who has acted as a district manager for national chains, said Mark Banach of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, who represented Moment Diner on the lease. The restaurant’s planned menu can be found here.

Thalhimer also announced that The Salvation Army will be opening a retail store in the 12,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Children’s Museum of Richmond.

Jim Ashby, who represented the landlord (the University of Mary Washington Foundation) on the leases along with Virgil Nelson, said additional deals are in the works for the center that they hope to announce in early 2022.
