The two new murals are now completed outside The Sunken Well Tavern at 720 Littlepage Street in Fredericksburg.
The first, done by local artist Bill Harris, went up earlier last week and features a woman hugging a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomatoes, big (sliced) kosher pickles and french-fried potatoes — with a cold draft beer and the words “Eat Well. Drink Well. Live Well” behind her.
The second one, which was completed by local artist Gabriel Pons and his son, Diego, went up this past weekend. It features an otter — a symbol of “The Well” — holding a cheeseburger with the message “Wishing you well from The Sunken Well.”
