Also taking effect August 23 will be the promotion of two outstanding existing Economic Development and Tourism professionals – Danelle Rose and Lily Eghtessad. Rose will be the City’s Tourism Marketing & Communication Manager and will continue to manage the Visitor Center in addition to overseeing the City’s tourism marketing campaigns and tourism-related events. She will be assisted by Lily Eghtessad, who has been promoted to Tourism Marketing Assistant. Eghtessad, a 2020 University of Mary Washington graduate, has spearheaded the City’s Chatham Bridge history and FXBG Diverse City projects.

With these great tourism professionals in place, along with Tourism Sales Manager Victoria Matthews and Tourism Services Coordinator Renee Dunn, the City is poised to do great things on the tourism front in the coming years.
