Main Street launching campaign for streetscape project
Fredericksburg VA Main Street Inc. is starting a fundraising campaign this week that seeks to raise at least $10,000 toward a project to bring more bike racks, benches, planters, trash cans and more to downtown Fredericksburg.
The campaign — titled “The Power of 100+” — seeks to raise the funds through at least $100 donations from at least 100 people. The campaign will run through Oct. 16.
Main Street is raising the funds to fulfill the 2-to-1 matching grant requirements of a recently awarded $25,000 grant from the Virginia Main Street Downtown Investment Grants program.
