Largest hotel in Fredericksburg sold, rebranded

The largest hotel in the City of Fredericksburg has new ownership and a new name.

The Fredericksburg Hospitality House at 2801 Plank Road was sold last month to Florida-based RIMA Management and Hospitality for an undisclosed price. The hotel is open and is now the Clarion Hotel & Suites Conference Center Fredericksburg. North Carolina-based LaTour Management will handle operations.

Plans are under way to renovate the hotel, which was originally built in 1969.

Formerly a dairy farm on the outskirts of the City of Fredericksburg, the hotel’s ballroom and Shannon Bar and Grille still have visible evidence of the barn and silo.

With 196 guest rooms, and 18,000 square feet of meeting space, this hotel and conference center offers excellent and flexible space for meetings, small tradeshows, weddings and reunions.
