Janney-Marshall Building sporting fresh look

Visitors to Fredericksburg’s train station area may have noticed the fresh look of an adjacent 19th-century structure that used to be a grocer’s warehouse.

John Janney has been overseeing the renovation of the Janney-Marshall Building at 401-409 Princess Anne Street into 12 residential units. Thanks to a detailed paint job, the building’s historic lettering can now be clearly seen — as shown at the top of this post as of Tuesday morning.
