Holiday Open House Weekend is here

Downtown Fredericksburg’s annual Holiday Open House Weekend is upon us.

Downtown will be bustling with activity this weekend (November 13-14). Decorations will be in place (thanks to Tree Fredericksburg for the beautiful Christmas trees now out), Santa sightings are a distinct possibility, and downtown will be ready for shopping and dining.

On-street parking spaces that are now two-hour spaces will convert to four-hour spaces Saturday. That will extend throughout the year.

Also, be sure to try out our annual Window Wonderland contest, which involves solving riddles placed in downtown windows and voting for the most-beautiful displays. Stop by the Visitor Center for your riddle sheet.

Also mark your calendar for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on November 20 at Hurkamp Park (4:30 p.m.), Small Business Saturday on November 27, the Christmas Parade on December 4 and the Candlelight Tour on December 10-12.
