Germanna Community College has received a grant for nearly $200,000 as part of a new $2.75 million Virginia Community College System investment in workforce training programs. The grants will develop new and expand existing high-demand training programs. Germanna’s grant is for National Center for Construction Educational and Research Core Craft in metalworking. Germanna’s project is designed to help meet regional employer needs by preparing students for success in a variety of industrial technology fields. Classes will be available at Germanna’s FredCAT Center in Fredericksburg’s Central Park, Daniel Technology Center in Culpeper and online. Read the full press release about the grant.
