Garage walls and floors going in soon at downtown project
The crane will help erect the large pre-assembled floors and walls of a 322-space parking garage that is being built in the block enclosed by Douglas, William, Winchester and Amelia streets. It’s expected to take about five weeks to put all the pieces together.
The garage will support the Liberty Place and William Square projects, which are being developed by Wack General Contractor and the Vakos Companies, respectively. The former Free Lance-Star buildings have been or are being removed for the projects, which will include office, restaurant, residential and hotel components.
Go check out the site over the next few weeks (while practicing social distancing)! It should be fun to watch all the pieces get put into place.
