Fredericksburg breweries racking up accolades

It’s been a good month for Fredericksburg breweries.

Fredericksburg’s Red Dragon Brewery was recently named one of the best breweries in Virginia by Brewerystars.com. The brewery, which is at 1419 Princess Anne Street, placed 12th in the state, according to rankings posted on the website.

In addition, Water’s End Brewery and Strangeways Brewing recently received recognition through the Virginia Craft Beer Cup. Water’s End, which recently opened a location at 525 Caroline Street in downtown Fredericksburg, won third place in the “Strong Ale” competition. Strangeways, which has a location at 350 Lansdowne Road in Fredericksburg, received first place in the “European Sour” category.
