The Fredericksburg Nationals will host a virtual version of their Opening Day on Thursday — which was originally scheduled to be their first game in the new ballpark before the COVID-19 outbreak.
The festivities will take place on the FredNats’ Facebook page. Things will kick off at 9 a.m. Thursday and will culminate at 5:30 p.m. with a broadcast featuring a special tour of the stadium, ceremonies honoring local healthcare workers, and presentations from City dignitaries and team ownership. The virtual activities will include games, giveaways, interviews with coaches, a ceremonial “first pitch,” and more.
