Fredericksburg’s Saturday Farmers Market to re-open Saturday
Fredericksburg’s popular Saturday Farmers Market at Hurkamp Park is set to re-open this coming weekend.
The re-opening coincides with Gov. Ralph Northam’s announcement last week that Virginia businesses that have been shuttered due to the COVID-19 virus will likely be allowed to reopen Friday with restrictions.
The Saturday market runs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes numerous local vendors offering an array of fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, baked goods and other products.
Customers at the market are encouraged to wear face masks and gloves, attend during off-peak times, and stay at least 6 feet apart from others in attendance. If shoppers reach the capacity of the park, market managers will put up signs at the entrances announcing temporary closures. Customers will not be allowed to touch the products being sold; rather vendors will prepare and bag orders.
See you at the market!
