Fredericksburg has been named as the second-best small town for disc golf in the U.S.

UDisc.com chose Fredericksburg from 6,000 U.S. towns with populations under 50,000 in an analysis to uncover the best combination of disc golf course quantity and quality. Others in the top five included Superior, Wisc.; Morristown, Tenn.; and Truckee, Calif.

Here is what the article had to say about Fredericksburg:

If you’ve ever driven on the much-used stretch of I-95 between Washington, D.C., and Richmond, Virginia, you’ve passed right by one of the best places to play disc golf in the United States. The town of Fredericksburg, Virginia, is almost directly between the two cities, and there are very few places in the country that have more options for players who just can’t get enough of the tight fairways and technical lines that are hallmarks of southeastern disc golf courses.

The article also highlights Fredericksburg’s outdoor recreation, history, breweries, wineries and restaurants.
