The winners were announced by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for “Outstanding Fundraising Effort.” The Downtown Affair project organized and hosted by Fredericksburg Virginia Main Street, Inc. (FVMS) took top prize. This event closes a portion of Caroline Street to serve a six-course dinner by local downtown Fredericksburg restaurants. Other Downtown shops, historic venues, artists, and unique services engage in the event as well. The event this year on October 6th has already sold out. Ann Glave, Fredericksburg Main Street’s director, accepted the award on behalf of FVMS (see photo). Congrats to the Main Street organization!
