Fredericksburg election pushed back to May 19
Gov. Ralph Northam announced Friday that he will push back Virginia municipal elections from May 5 to May 19, after the legislature rejected his plan to postpone them until November. Absentee voting by mail is strongly encouraged. See more details on the Voter Registar’s webpage.
Due to the pandemic, all Fredericksburg voters may vote at home via an absentee ballot. All voters qualify to vote at home, but all must apply by completing an application. If you want a ballot, you should apply now. Do not wait. Apply online here: Voter Registrar’s webpage. If you do not have internet access, please call 540-372-1030 and request an application be mailed to you.
Absentee applications completed online are automatically submitted. All other applications may be returned via fax, email, or mail delivery. Voter Registrar’s Office contact information: email@example.com or 540-372-1030. The last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you is May 12, but it is strongly recommended to apply now.
