Fashion Week coming to downtown Fredericksburg

The City of Fredericksburg’s passion for fashion will be on full display as 11 downtown boutique owners hold the first Downtown Fashion Week Sept. 9-15.

The event is intended to show shoppers that they need look no farther than their own backyard to find a variety of current men’s and women’s clothing trends. Participating boutiques will feature 2019 fall/winter collections and offer in-store promotions and activities during the week. Moreover, there will be a fashion show on September 12 and a fashionista’s version of a pub crawl with an in-store shopping event on September 13.

Participating boutiques include Monkeeā€™s, 2 Hearts 1 Dress, Alan Furs Leathers and Cashmeres, Ava Laurenne Bride, Bash Boutique, Cose Belle Boutique, Lady Legacy, Peacaloo Boutique, Pye & Co., River Rock Outfitter and Willow. They will all remain open until 7 p.m. on September 13 and offer refreshments and new specials specifically for that day.

The fashion show will be held at 6 p.m. September 12 at the Inn at the Old Silk Mill at 1707 Princess Anne St. Tickets are $35, and include heavy appetizers and a drink ticket. They can be purchased at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, 706 Caroline St., or online. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Fredericksburg VA Main Street Inc.
