Downtown ‘Love Scrub’ planned Oct. 23

A downtown Fredericksburg cleanup is scheduled Saturday, Oct. 23.

“Love Scrub Number 4” will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. that day starting from the Hurkamp Park fountain. The scrub will involve pulling up existing plants, spreading mulch, planting Spring flower bulbs, and pouring concrete pads for new trash cans. Participants should bring a pair of gloves and maybe a shovel.

The event is being organized by local Realtor Chip Taylor, who also organized the previous Love Scrub events.
