Cork & Table hosts Regional Food Bank Dinner

Downtown Fredericksburg restaurant Cork & Table on Thursday hosted a dinner to raise awareness about the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.

The dinner featured a couple of dozen members of the community and a presentation by Food Bank President and CEO Dan Maher about the important services the organization offers our community.

Cork & Table, which is at 909 Caroline St., recently also committed to raising funds for the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank. The restaurant has started donating 10 percent of the proceeds of each retail wine purchase at Cork & Table to the Food Bank. For example, each $20 wine sale generates a $2 donation to the Food Bank to help them provide meals to families, children, the elderly and others facing food insecurity.
