2019 Business Appreciation Winner, Silver Companies

The Department of Economic Development & Tourism honored Silver Companies during Business Appreciation month. The 2019 theme was inspired by “Businesses who give Back!” The Silver Foundation, started by Carl D. Silver, has grown and reached new heights of giving fostered by his son, Larry D. Silver.  The Silver Foundation’s most recent projects in the City include Loisann’s Hope House, named for Larry Silver’s sister and The Maxine and Carl Silver Hillel Center for UMW Jewish students.  The annual Maxine’s Holiday Miracles provides gifts to more than 300 individuals throughout the region. We thank Silver Companies for its investment in our City and giving back to our community!
