Bike-rental shop opens in downtown Fredericksburg

by | Aug 26, 2019 | Business News

A bike-rental and repair business has opened in “Jail Alley” at 806-C Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg.

FJBF Bike Rentals is open regular hours Thursday through Sunday, and by appointment Monday through Wednesday.

“Jail Alley” is between Hanover and George streets and is so-named because of the former jail at the nearby Renwick complex. The location offers fairly close proximity to the Virginia Central Railway Trail and Rappahannock River Heritage Trail.

“FJBF” stands for Freres Jean-Baptist Foundation. Proceeds from the non-profit business will go toward counseling for suicide prevention, according to its Facebook page. Eddie Williams and Camaille Powell own the business.
