The City of Fredericksburg will welcome its fourth microbrewery late this fall.

Adventure Brewing Company will open a tasting room inside the former Blackstone Coffee space in the Eagle Village shopping center at 1113 Jefferson Davis Highway. Adventure Brewing will continue to operate its primary production facility out of its headquarters at 33 Perchwood Drive in Stafford County.

Adventure Brewing’s owners — Tim Bornholtz, Stan Johnson and Russ Patishnock — said the company has long planned to have a facility within the City of Fredericksburg. “This location is one more way we can expand the adventurous spirit that has long been part of our core business plan,” Patishnock said. “We are thrilled to be able to provide our amazing line of craft beer and hard seltzers that we are recognized for.”

“As the craft beer industry has exploded in Virginia over the past decade, Adventure Brewing has repeatedly been recognized as an innovator in the business, and we look forward to having their tasting room and brewery serve our clients at Eagle Village,” said Jeff Rountree, CEO of the University of Mary Washington Foundation, which owns Eagle Village.

Adventure Brewing will join Fredericksburg’s three other microbreweries — Spencer Devon Brewing, Red Dragon Brewery and Strangeways Brewing. The brewer also joins two other recently announced additions to the newer retail space at Eagle Village — AT&T Mobility and Patriot Subs.
